bc i feel i need to explain more about my dumb characters


Raiku (blue wolf) and Dwyn (white dog):

Raiku was created over a year ago and was going to feature in a traditionally made comic but it took too long to make the pages and the story was outdated before I could start doing it digitally. These two are childhood best friends who met after Raiku accidentally killed most members of his tribe after discovering he had extremely potent powers that he could not control. He later discovers he is part of an ancient prophecy to save the land from an evil dragon dictator who wishes to oppress the tribes in slavery for his own gain.
Raiku is calm reserved but very headstrong and sometimes reckless. He suffers alot from the memories of his past which continue to haunt him constantly. Dwyn is innocent and naive, but ferociously caring and selfless. He is oblivious to any judgments others might make, meaning he trusts Raiku even after he learns of what he's done. 
It is set in an idyllic land, with a vast variety of terrains from lush forests to baking deserts, where various tribes of animals inhabit.
I got quite far in the story, so i'll probably revamp it into a comic or series in the future.


Lusk (brown cat) and Havok (green cat):

I got Lusk (named by @/nukidawg (winks) as an adopt a few months back and  I started thinking about his universe and backstory and came up with Havok (who's design isn't confirmed, i was just experimenting for this post lol) who wants to make a pact with him to use his demonic powers. His name came from the word havoc meaning widespread destruction which I thought was pretty fitting. Lusk is a bored and dispassionate character, with a callous disregard for mortals who he tortures and kills for his own entertainment, which usually isn't enough to satisfy his boredom. Havok, while shraring Lusk's 'passion' for evil, is an ambitious and dynamic character, who has big plans for world domination and revenge upon those who looked down on him.
The world they're in is mostly dark and desolate, where there is little law and order save for the places most populated, in centres of crumbled cities of bygone eras. The most wealthy and fortunate of the cats live in relative luxury, while the rest are left fight among themselves for scraps. The society is heavily religious, being governed by a hierarchy of spirits, each with differing levels of karma which dictate their power but also their status. The most powerful are the one's with the purest form of good or evil, who are in constant conflict trying to protect or destroy the harmony of the world.
I'm thinking of also making this a comic sometime, after I have a story figured out. 


Dykrio (grey cat) and Rae (white cat)

You'll probably know who these are since I'm making the manga about them right now. I thought of the idea of APEX as I wanted a story set in a city, so I just made characters and a story around that basis. I came up with the original plot about a year ago after I gave up on Raiku's comic, but I re-did it around September last year and only started it a few weeks ago. Dykrio has a usually calm and laidback temperment, but has the tendency to change from lighthearted to serious very quickly. He can be cold, unsympathetic and also cynical, but his mindset is very practical and logical.  He could almost be the opposite of Rae (who's name came from the word 'ray' as in ray of light), who is highly compassionate and altruistic. She has strong will and endless hope and ambition, and is very emotionally driven. She could be seen as an absolute pacifist, who won't attack even in self defense, making her an easy target.
